Tickets for the Mayor’s Holiday Festival for Senior Citizens are now on sale. Tickets are available for $8 each at the Mary L. Singleton Senior Center, 150 E. First St., and at City Hall at St. James, 117 W. Duval St., Suite 280 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The event will be held Saturday, Dec. 4 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center,1000 Water St., from 2 - 5 p.m.
This annual event provides an opportunity for Jacksonville seniors 60 years and over to share the spirit of the season while enjoying a traditional holiday dinner, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, fabulous door prizes, chance drawings and dancing to a live band.
Volunteers are needed prior to the event for decorating and set up and during the event to assist and serve seniors. To volunteer, call (904) 630-7392.
